Origins

Huila is Colombia’s heart of specialty coffee, where smallholder families cultivate exceptional microlots at 1,400–2,000 meters elevation. Volcanic soil and year-round subtropical climate create ideal conditions for rare varietals.

Acevedo, Huila

Bright citrus notes, red fruit sweetness, and caramel body. Caturra and Pink Bourbon thrive at 1,550–1,900 meters, delivering complex flavor with balanced acidity and floral aromatics.

Gigante, Huila

Clean, versatile, and consistently excellent. Caramel and citrus notes with structured body—from delicate stone fruit in light roasts to deep chocolate and cocoa in darker profiles.

Origin: Finca Villa Betulia, Acevedo, Huila — Caturra Varietal, 1,780m, Washed Process
Roast: Medium — floral aromatics, orange citrus brightness, and subtle spice with a clean finish
Best for: Pour-over (V60), AeroPress, espresso, French press

Traceability (No Fluff)

From mountain to cup, you know exactly where your coffee comes from and who grew it. Full traceability means accountability for quality at every stage and fair payment that reaches the hands of the farmers.

Farm

Microlots are grown by individual families on small plots in Huila’s finest elevations, where altitude and terroir create exceptional beans.

Processing

Beans are depulped and fermented on-site, preserving clarity and expressing each microlot’s unique character through washed or honey methods.

Drying

Sun-dried on raised beds for 2–3 weeks, allowing even moisture reduction and developing the sweetness and body that define Huila coffee.

Roast & Pack

Roasted fresh to order and packaged immediately to preserve peak flavor, with lot information printed on every bag.

Somos una familia productora de café de especialidad en Acevedo, Huila — conectando directamente nuestras fincas con tostadores y cafeterías del mundo.

Nuestra Historia

De Acevedo al Mundo

La historia de Juanito Coffee comienza en las montañas de Acevedo, Huila, donde nuestra familia ha cultivado café por tres generaciones. Lo que empezó como una pequeña finca familiar se ha convertido en un proyecto que conecta directamente a productores colombianos con el mercado internacional de café de especialidad.

Trabajamos con variedades como Castillo, Caturra, Colombia, Gesha y Pink Bourbon, cultivadas entre 1,600 y 1,900 metros de altitud. Cada lote es procesado con métodos que van desde el lavado tradicional hasta fermentaciones anaeróbicas experimentales, buscando siempre perfiles de taza únicos.

Nuestro compromiso es con la transparencia total: cada café que vendemos viene con información completa sobre el productor, la finca, la variedad, el proceso y el puntaje de taza. Creemos que conocer el origen transforma la experiencia del café.

Detrás de Juanito Coffee hay un equipo pequeño pero apasionado. Nuestro Q-Grader certifica cada lote con puntuaciones SCA rigurosas. Nuestro equipo de logística asegura que el café llegue fresco a cualquier parte del mundo. Y en origen, trabajamos directamente con productores que comparten nuestra visión de calidad sobre cantidad.

Huila: Tierra de Café Excepcional

El departamento de Huila es reconocido mundialmente como una de las mejores regiones cafeteras del planeta. Con altitudes entre 1,200 y 2,000 msnm, suelos volcánicos fértiles y un microclima ideal, Huila produce cafés con perfiles complejos que destacan en competencias internacionales.

Nuestros cafés provienen de fincas ubicadas entre 1,600 y 1,900 msnm en Acevedo, donde las condiciones son óptimas para desarrollar notas frutales, florales y de chocolate que caracterizan los mejores cafés de la región. Consistentemente alcanzamos puntuaciones SCA de 84 a 90 puntos.
